By agreeing to this Policy, you agree to the transfer of personal information about you to countries outside the country in which you reside, to countries with a different data protection regime than in place in the country in which you reside. Sapiens will take appropriate technical, organizational, and legal steps to secure personal information about you.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
This Policy covers any personal information you submit through the Careers Page as part of the job application or job search process, including: name, contact information; CV, résumé, cover letter, application, previous work experience and education information; employment preferences, willingness to relocate, current salary, desired salary and how you heard about the Careers Page; and professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held; language and other relevant skills; awards and professional memberships; eligibility to work in country where job applied for is located, available start date; and information relating to references. You may also voluntarily choose to provide other relevant information as part of your application. We would prefer that you avoid submitting the following sensitive information, except where such information is legally required: sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, disability, marital status, creed, nationality, national origin, color and/or age. If your application is successful, we may ask you to provide information about your health (to ensure you are fit for work and to protect your health and safety at work) and your bank account and other financially relevant details (for tax and payroll purposes). If you prefer, you may provide this information outside our on-line recruitment process.
If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/résumé, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that third party prior to passing the personal information to us. You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way and does not infringe on any third party’s rights, or is not otherwise legally actionable by such third party.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Job applicants’ personal data are processed by Sapiens for the purpose of management over the application process, including determination of eligibility for employment, verification of references and qualifications for a particular job or task. In justified case processing of personal data may cover activities to fulfil visa or work permit administrative requirements.
In case the candidate’s application for the currently open position fails, applicant’s data may be retained for the purpose of future recruitment based on Sapiens legitimate interest.
If we elect to make you an offer, personal information you submit may be incorporated into our human resources system and used to manage the new-hire process. If you become an employee, any personal information that you submit may become part of your employee file and may be used for other employment/work-related purposes. It will be held and used in accordance with our data protection policy for employee records which will be made available to you at that time.
The data controller of your data (entity that is responsible for processing it in accordance with the law) is Sapiens International Corporation, Azrieli Center, 26 Harokmim st., Holon, 588-5800, Israel. If you apply to a job position in a country different than Israel, the Sapiens affiliate in the relevant country will be a joint controller of your personal data. The provision of personal information on the Careers Page is voluntary. Please note however that failure to provide sufficient information may result in Sapiens being unable to consider your employment application or, if employment is offered, your subsequent promotion, transfer or relocation.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information about you will be reviewed by Sapiens employees or agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel and managers or their designees.
We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Sapiens with the operation of the Careers Page. Those third parties will be required to protect personal information.
If we are required by law to disclose your information, we may share your information with law enforcement or other competent authorities and any third party, as may be required (e.g to respond to claims or satisfy any legal process, subpoena, or governmental request; or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of persons or property. In addition, in the event that Sapiens or any if its entities go through a business transition such as a merger or acquisition by another company, consolidation, change of control, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information will be among the assets shared and transferred.
PERIOD OF STORAGE
Candidates’ personal data are stored for three years from the data of application. This period of storage is justified by legitimate interests of Sapiens, in particular: (a) to protect against claims related to the recruitment process and (b) to use these personal data for future recruitment.
All persons whose data are processed by Sapiens have the right to access their personal data and obtain information about the scope and purpose for which these data are processed. Each person has a right to rectify his or her personal data if these data are not valid.
In case of any irregularities, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
