What you’ll do:
As part of the Sapiens Digital R&D group, you will work within a small and elite team, a startup like group within Sapiens, you will own the architecture, design and implementation of a new digital product and you will have a unique opportunity to share the future of technology.
Having overall responsibility for building the core capabilities of the new product and leading the deployment architecture and CI/CD automation, as well as mentoring other development team members with DevOps best practices.
- Playing a vital role in product design to ensure scalability, reliability and performance are met
- Build scale up DevOps processes and methodologies.
- Lead group of DevOps engineers to design, build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure.
- Responsibility of planning and managing CI/CD processes, automation, deployment tools on-premises and on-cloud.
- Integrating test automation into the CI/CD cycle using different environments and infrastructures.
- Improve product readiness quality and reduce Time to Market.
- Be accountable for the delivery of a subsystem, anticipate issues, and address them proactively
- Keep up-to-date and flexible with technologies in the fields of client-server development, security, technology frameworks, and infrastructure
- Interface with various R&D and QA Groups.
What to Have for this position.
Must have Skills.
- B.E/B.Sc. in Computer Science / related technical engineering discipline / equivalent industrial experience.
- 7+ years of proven experience as a DevOps engineer
- Experience as a developer in Java / JavaScript/ any other object-oriented programming language – big advantage.
- Knowledge and proven experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) tools and methodologies.
- Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe etc,.
- Very strong scripting skills in Python/ Perl / Ruby / Bash / PowerShell / similar.
- Experience with Cloud Technology (such as Amazon, Azure) – must
- 3+ years of experience with Linux.
- 2+ years Configuration managements tools Terraforms, Ansible, Puppet is an advantage.
- Proven experience with Docker / Kubernetes and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Node.JS and NPM an advantage
- Experience with monitoring and data/log analytics tools.
- Understanding of security concepts.
- Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Experience with big data and non-relational databases - an advantage.
