Director Product Development

What you’ll do: 
As the Director of R&D Product Development, you will play a pivotal role in hiring, leading, and nurturing a team of highly skilled professionals in an agile environment, focused on developing and scaling cutting-edge product offerings within the Property and Casualty division at Sapiens. Collaborating closely with senior management, business leaders, and global teams, you will drive innovation and strategic direction.
The ideal candidate brings experience in creating rapid application development tools for enterprise organizations, is eager to work on evolving products, and is ready to contribute ideas, creativity, and technical expertise. Your role is central to delivering transformative product solutions that propel our business growth. 
•    Build a long-term roadmap and short-term plans towards product delivery. Work in close collaboration with the respected Product Group(s).
•    Complete ownership of your product area's technical domain – architecture, integrations, technical governance, methodologies and best practices.
•    Seamless product delivery, integrations, quality etc. 
•    Develop a high performing team of architects and full stack developers. 
•    Manage cross organizational activities, initiatives and projects.
•    Research and suggest new technologies to improve scale and performance.
•    Strong relationship and team management with colleagues, customers, sales, regions, partners, services and product groups.

What to Have for this position:
Must have Skills: - 
•    15+ years of experience in IT or Product Tech companies
•    7+ years of management experience.
•    Understanding of experience in Node.js, Native JavaScript, React, Java.
•    3+ years of experience in development of large, distributed software systems.
•    Proven experience in leading, managing & mentoring cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, analysts, and architects is desirable. 
•    Previous roles in R&D, solution architecture, technical leadership, agile methodologies, and project management are advantageous. 
•    Experience in contributing to research and development initiatives, innovation projects, and technical advancements can be a significant asset. 
•    Solid understanding cloud system architecture.
•    Deep understanding with building modern web technologies.
•    Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), and NoSQL databases.
•    Experience in designing a microservices architecture and releasing using continuous deployment.
•    Master’s degree in computer science/MCA or bachelor’s in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 
•    Hands on approach with the ability to see the big picture whilst being knowledgeable with the product details.
