Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer
Experience required:- 3+ Years
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the company’s EHS strategy, goals, objectives, and programs;
- Lead EHS activities per region, country acc to company specifics;
- Follow up on execution of EHS tasks, emergency drills, internal audits, training plans, follow up on corrective actions from audits;
- Support new site set up, new site EHS Officer appointments & training as well as supervise and monitor ongoing situation;
- Prepare management reviews, meetings, and presentations;
- Prepare and coordinate EHS trainings;
- Implement and communicate all environmental health and safety policies and procedures;
- Lead regional and global EHS Meetings - coordinate the meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items;
- Perform EHS audits and follow up on audits corrective actions;
- Review hazard identification and risk assessment processes;
- Conduct root cause analysis of EHS incidents and prepare reports.
Requirements - Academic background in environmental sciences or safety engineering and/ or certification of recognized international institution in EHS – an advantage;
- Proven experience in leading the field of Environment Health and Safety in global organization on global or regional level – a must;
- Ability to drive results and implements changes based on an understanding of the business environment;
- Good understanding of EHS management systems, proven experience in the application of EHS management systems – an advantage;
- Fluent English;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and coordinate international teams;
- Excellent communication skills;
- High proficiency with Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and project management tools.
