Criteria’s	Job Requirements
General Job Description	As a Lead Product Owner – AI/ML & GenAI, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and implementation of AI-powered products and solutions for the insurance industry. You will work at the intersection of data science, actuarial analytics, and product management to create innovative solutions that enhance underwriting, pricing, claims processing, and customer experience. Your deep understanding of insurance concepts, actuarial methodologies, and AI/ML techniques will enable you to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize features, and align product development with business goals
Pre - requisites Knowledge & Experience	Education: MBA in Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field; B.Tech/BSc in IT/Computer Science preferred. Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience in product management, AI/ML, and insurance domain. Insurance Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance products across P&C, L&P, or Reinsurance (RI). AI/ML Expertise: Hands-on experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, data analytics, and automation within the insurance sector. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with SQL (Intermediate level), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and AI/ML frameworks. Product Management Skills: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder management. Problem Solving: Ability to solve complex business problems using AI-driven solutions.
Required Product/project Knowledge	Experience with insurance analytics solutions, actuarial modeling, and data science-driven decision-making. Strong familiarity with AI-powered underwriting, claims automation, fraud detection, and predictive analytics. Understanding of data structures, databases, and data engineering pipelines to support AI/ML models. Expertise in AI/ML regulatory and ethical considerations within the insurance sector. Knowledge of industry-leading platforms such as Sapiens, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar insurance core systems is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities	Define & Drive AI/ML Strategy: Shape and execute the product vision, aligning AI/ML initiatives with business goals. Own the AI/ML Product Roadmap: Prioritize backlog items, define product KPIs, and ensure timely delivery of AI-driven solutions. Collaborate Cross-Functional Teams: Manage teams across AI/ML engineering, product management, and business stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technology, business, and regulatory teams to ensure AI-driven product compliance and adoption. Support Pre-Sales & Market Intelligence: Provide AI/ML product insights to sales teams, participate in client discussions, and contribute to go-to-market strategies. Product strategy: Build and execute end to end product strategy and vision Project Management: Handling project management tool for agile development and sprint planning
Required Skills & Competencies	Deep Insurance & Actuarial Knowledge: Ability to apply actuarial science in AI-driven product solutions. AI/ML Product Expertise: Understanding of machine learning models, Generative AI, NLP, and predictive analytics. Data Analytics & Visualization: Ability to interpret complex data using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical models. Strategic & Leadership Abilities: Experience in managing AI product teams, guiding product strategy, and mentoring junior analysts. Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve business challenges using AI solutions. Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive AI adoption within insurance organizations.
Soft Skills	Agility & Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving AI/ML landscape. Self-Motivation & Initiative: A proactive mindset to explore AI opportunities and drive innovation. Collaboration & Teamwork: Strong ability to work across teams, fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment. Ethical AI Awareness: Understanding of AI governance, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance in the insurance sector.
