Job Description :-
Roles and Responsibilities
- Team player on key role working as part of the global Delivery DevOps team.
- Install, manage, configure, and maintain database infrastructure, SQL servers and DB instances of various applications and system instances.
- Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, functions, data models, data dictionaries, standards, policies, quality and other objects scripts and procedures.
- Capacity planning and scaling, and implementation of automation for routine tasks.
- Delivery database solutions that meet the requirements and specifications of projects.
- Database or software development experience to monitor improvements in SW and HW for systems and services.
- Provide technical support to business operations and troubleshoot development work issues.
- Schema and data movement changes
- Assist and collaborate with other DBAs and development teams.
- Release package for customer delivery.
- Supporting internal and external customers installation and operations issues, by assisting them to meet their developmental and operational needs and by building and maintaining relationships.
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise and proficiency skills with Database tools and software, concepts, principles and practices with various platforms.
- Advanced skills and experience in database design, architecture, Security compliance, Backup and recovery, High-availability, Disaster recovery
- Familiarity with DevOps tools – Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Bitbucket, GitHub
- Experienced Native Cloud Stack experience – Azure, AWS
- Experienced with SQL Cloud Services – SQLMI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Extensive knowledge in SQL Server administration
- Oracle and DB2 – preferred
- Database tuning and performance monitoring experience for optimization and efficiency
- SQL Commands - preferred
- Excellent knowledge of the SQL language
- Programming experience in scripting languages
- T-SQL – MUST
- PL/SQL, SQLPL - preferred
- Windows Powershell, Linux shell, python – preferred
- Operating System skills
- Windows – must
- Linux – preferred
- Follows Agile best practices.
