Senior Consultant-Network & Security 

Network specialist:

  • An experienced network focused Engineer that has had experience with the below:
  • deployment of various network devices and services, including SD-WAN, Load Balancers, routers, switches & firewalls, IPS/IDS, Wireless LAN, VPN, MPLS.
  • Performed network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixed and security configurations
  • Monitored performance and ensured system availability and reliability.
  • Monitored system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Provided level- 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Worked within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

 

Areas of experience and skills required:

  • undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources.
  • secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
  • support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
  • report network operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects.
  • configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls.
  • provide support to open systems engineers and end users/customers during installation.
  • provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation.
  • undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices.
  • Experience in Security Compliance, Vulnerability.
  • Must be a go-getter to support documentation of process and technical information that is un-available.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate IT concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Implementation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of Existing IT Infrastructure Environment including backup, firewall management, etc.
  • Should have experience in Load balancing, Application gateway, WAF etc.
  • Hands on experience in On-premises, Hybrid and cloud networking configuration and management.
  • Experience in Update management, log analytics, Azure Monitoring.
  • Strong fundamental and in-depth experience with network load balancing services and appliances is required.
  • Experience in managing Firewalls & gateway Firewalls cluster management in large set up.
  • Experience in Upgrades and configurations on maintaining (PA, Fortinet, Azure firewall, AWS) Firewalls support related activities.
  • Certifications like CCIE – Security or similar.

Required:

  • A seasoned security (information security, cyber security, and cloud security) professional.
  • Assist customers to secure the IT landscape/ecosystem built at on-premises and multi-cloud.
  • As an enterprise security architect in the security domain crafted to ensure availability, reliability, security, scalability, performance, and resilient architectures to address customers'/clients' business challenges and accelerate technology adoption to improve the products/services.
  • Experienced in designing, engineering, implementing, and managing the overall security posture of an organization, including Identity access management, asset security, communications security, identity management, network security, risk management, security assessment, security engineering, security management, security operations, security testing, and software development security.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP cloud security architecture, design, operations, and service orchestration, including application security, architectural concepts, compliance requirements, data security, design requirements, infrastructure security, legal requirements, processes, and platform security.
