Senior Product Analyst is a senior member in the Product Analyst team of IDIT R&D who is responsible for managing requirements for  complex features in the system. The candidate should be able to run workshops with domain managers, Product Managers, customers to elicit the requirements and present solution design and eventually take the requirement through to implementation. The person should be able to mentor and train other BAs.

Pre-requisites

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (CS/ IT Preferred) or equivalent qualification. MBA Preferred
• Experience
• Should have some technical experience and then moved to a BA role
• Insurance or BFSI experience is a must.
• Prior knowledge of Core Insurance is a must
• Experience of having worked in at least an implementation project for 2 years. Leading end to end  requirements for at least 2 modules.
• Knowledge & Skills
• Excellent analytical skills, good design skills
• Intermediate SQL and data modelling skills is a must.
• Understanding of SDLC and AGILE concepts is a must.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to document business requirements as user stories. Break large epics into smaller features and stories and document them in SDS.
• Ability to conduct demo/ walkthroughs with POs and business users
• Techno functional and business solutioning capability
• 4-6 years of relevant experience

Roles and Responsibility

• Gather business requirements for medium to complex features and interfaces in the system. (Contact/ Policy, Claims/ Accounting/ Interfaces)
• Document requirements in SDS
• Analyse and prioritize defects.
• Conduct requirement discussion with Product managers, Domain managers and customers
• Conduct walkthrough of requirements with development and QA teams
• Attend daily stand-ups.
• Conduct User forums
• Conduct training sessions for junior members of the team
• Work with as a core representative to project teams as needed.
