Role : Sr Consultant - Technical Writer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand product features and target audiences
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical documents, and process documentation targeting both technical and business users

• Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
• Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration

• Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
• Work with software products to fully understand the product and properly define example data and required user steps with screen images for inclusion in documents.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
• 5-7 years of industry experience as an effective Technical Writer

• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation for data and analytics products and offerings

• Experience of working with Confluence, MadCap Flare, MS Office Suite and Adobe Suite
• Experience in creating info graphics to support illustrations and concepts
• Experience of working with OpenAI and other GPT models

• Strong understanding of document structure formatting, styling, and template design

• Firm understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

• Ability to determine the needs of end users of technical documentation

• Experience working with engineering to improve design, UI/UX, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content

• Experience working independently and collaborating with local and remote development teams to improve user documentation experience using appropriate visuals and diagrams

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization

• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail

• A Certification in Technical Writing Skills
• Excellent written skills in English
