Job Description: Solution Architect (BI, Data & Analytics)

Min Experience: 12+ Years

We at Sapiens, a leading product company in the Insurance domain, are looking for a Seasoned Solution Architect for our large and growing Data, Analytics & Digital practice – looking for a true talent.

You will be working on the Product & Projects and also support Pre-Sales for the most interesting and advanced companies on the globe and use the best and latest Data and Analytics technologies, tools and methodologies to perform the work.

We are seeking a candidate to lead, innovate and grow along with our flagship Data and Analytics offerings; one who can envision, create, and deliver ideal Data & Analytics solutions for our customers across geographies. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Understand/Anticipate customer needs architecture & technicalities of Sapiens products and offering in the Data and Digital space.
• Understand and enhance pre-designed insurance-specific data models.
• Perform research & market/competitive analysis on the new technologies and trends emerging in the data & analytics space.
• Provide end to end Insurance specific Data & Analytics solutions using multiple BI/DW, cloud, analytics, digital technologies and polyglot architectures.
• During Pre-Sales
  • Work closely with customers & understand their Data & Analytics technology landscape.
  • Work with pre-sales teams in creating & demonstrating winning Proofs of Concept to Technical Architects and Management Executives.

• • Create overall Solution Design & Infrastructure sizing documents based on estimated customer growth scenarios.

• • Work with delivery teams for effort estimations and delivery planning.
  • Provide solution handover to delivery teams. 
• During Delivery Phase:
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis workshops with customer and arrive at solution approach, architecture designs and migration strategy to the new solution/platform.
  • Lead Data modelling, Design workshops. 
  • Work closely with the delivery team and support project execution and architecture / solution reviews.
  • Drive creation of reusable components, frameworks, methodologies and models
• Towards Product Design & Delivery:
  • Work with data & digital product teams in creating the technical strategy, architecture designs, future-proof product & delivery roadmap for DWH, Analytics, Cloud, Portals, Chatbot, Reporting and other solutions.
  • Setup modelling, design processes; conduct architectural reviews and own the solution designs. 
  • Establish standards, guidelines and procedures for the data management lifecycles.  
  • Master data management system and process design and implementation.
  • Data quality system and process design.
• Mentor / Coach Juniors in the practice to reach the level of Solution Architects

Desired Skills:

• Min 12 years of experience within IT space.
• At least 8 years of experience in Data Warehousing/Big Data and Analytics/Digital space.
• Experience of working on large migration / digital transformation project is preferred.
• Experience of working with the cloud technologies is desirable – Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Hands on experience as Data Modeller or ETL/Report Developer on at least 2 Data projects is desirable.
• Hands on experience of working with Big data & Streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Java, Python, Hadoop, No SQL) is preferred
• Experience of other third-party BI tools and Data Visualisation Products such as Tableau, PowerBI, D3.js, Qlikview is an advantage.
• Exposure to models like IIW, FS-LDM, ACORD is good to have.
• Prior experience in Insurance domain is good to have.
• Experience of solution shaping and architecture development during pre-sales stages is good to have.
• Experience with best practice design principles (e.g. Inmon/Kimball/Data Volt) and approaches for a range of application styles and technologies to help guide and steer decisions.
• Experience of motivating and enhancing Team performance including supporting team members to manage and progress their career is good to have.
• Masters in Engineering / MCA is preferred.
