About Business Analyst function

We are looking for a business analyst to join TIA Delivery team in Columbia. 
As a business analyst you will be required to undertake workshops with customers for the analysis and design phases of business transformation projects through the implementation of TIA insurance software as well as other TIA solutions offered.
Work with insurance companies to understand their “as is” business processes, architecture, and insurance products and to define the “to be” state using the TIA application as the base.
Define, document, and present the solutions back to the customer through user stories, configuration setup documents and business requirements and / or functional requirements specifications where appropriate.
Become an expert in the TIA application capabilities and use the out of box system functionalities on a best practice basis to support customer’s business process and requirements.
Engage with the technical team and / or TIA R&D and provide solutions for new system functionalities if TIA application does not support the customer’s requirements.
Engage with project management on all project-related risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and planning.
Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Work closely with project management, product management, development, and testing teams to ensure high-quality implementation of the defined solutions.


Overall purpose of role

Expected key responsibilities:
•    Participate or lead in customer workshops.
•    Understand the customer business processes and procedures.
•    Map out the differences between customer requirements and current TIA core system features.
•    Understand the gaps in the requirements and the type of solution needed.
•    Draft and write deliverables.
•    Manage and refine scope, priorities, and backlogs.
•    Facilitate the negotiation of requirements between the customer and Sapiens.
•    Create, analyse, and validate detailed functional specifications.
•    Participate or lead in solution design workshops.
•    Build solution design based on TIA core functionality and best practices.
•    Write business requirements and / or functional requirements documents and/or update configuration setup documents.
•    Assist technical team in clarifying questions during technical solutioning stage / technical documentation preparation.
•    Provide support throughout the project lifecycle (Design, execution, SIT, UAT and go-live activities).
•    Provide support to the customer, development, and test teams.
•    Coach and mentor junior team members, through workshops and peer reviews. 
•    Contribute to TIA implementation templates, frameworks, tools and supporting TIA PS Centre of Excellence.

o    The nature of the role will require being independent, to be capable to solution and make decisions, in along having ability to demonstrate problem solving skills, coordination, taking ownership for the result.
•    Risk and Control:
o    Understand the appropriate policies & standards applicable to the role through reading the Sapiens Code of Conduct and other training assigned. Where responsible for risks and controls ensure that these are appropriate and fit for purpose.  
o    Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Global and Local Sapiens policies and standards.

Skills, knowledge, and certifications:
Essential:
•    2+ years of experience as a business analyst or 2+ years of experience with TIA solution
•    Fluency in English and Spanish
•    Demonstrated experience of implementing significant functional change
•    Experience in full project lifecycle having been involved in system implementations or enhancement projects
•    Business process modelling and requirements gathering
•    Experience working with: MS Office/ Office 365, Jira, SharePoint. 
Optional (would be an advantage):
•    Knowledge of agile scrum methodology would be advantageous
•    Experience with insurance information systems would be advantageous 
•    Experience with TIA solution
•    Experience with Oracle SQL / PLSQL
Other Person Specifications: 
•    University degree in related discipline
•    Additional language knowledge
•    Willingness to travel to clients' sites.
