QA Engineer

About Software Tester function:

As our new QA Engineer you will be joining Professional Services team, in our office in Bogota. Professional Services team is working on customer projects all over the globe and most certainly your new project team will be international.  All your new colleagues are very team-oriented and contribute to dynamic, and dedicated team spirit. As a software tester You will also participate in various project activities – from helping with UAT planning, to testing solution, doing presentations or running training sessions for end users.

Overall purpose of role:

Your main activities will be:

• Ensuring that the software meets our quality standards
• Maintaining and sometimes developing the automation for our existing and new generation applications (depends on the project)
• Creating tests plans to ensure no critical issues are introduced
• Guiding the team to ensure best practices are established and followed
• Identify and suggest ways to improve both the business and software
• Follow a product development life cycle from idea, roadmap, planning, development, documentation, launching and maintenance.

Skills, knowledge, and certifications:

Essential:

• 2+ years of experience professional experience in software quality assurance
• Fluency in English and Spanish (B2 or higher)
• Strong understanding of best testing practices
• Experience or willingness to learn technologies: SQL, RestAssured, Swager, SOAP UI, Postman, Selenium
• Experience working in Agile team
• Strong with intellectual curiosity

Optional (would be an advantage):

• Knowledge of agile scrum methodology would be advantageous
• Experience with insurance information systems would be advantageous
• Experience with TIA solution
• Experience with Oracle SQL / PLSQL
• ISTQB certification
