About the role:

  • Will require an excellent knowledge of general insurance (Property & Casualty), preferably in a software implementation environment
  • Lead contact on all business discussions and decisions, end-to-end solution understanding, and scope for projects
  • Participate in requirement discovery sessions and document key requirements / KPIs for creation of reports and dashboards
  • Demonstrate the value of Sapiens’ SDLC methodology/process to clients and best practice of our core software systems
  • Manage the project business analyst team to ensure targets and deadlines are met and manage any issues
  • Act as a custodian of the project scope and ensure any deviations to scope are managed correctly through the change control process
  • Work closely with project management, product management, development, and testing teams to ensure a high-quality implementation of the defined solutions
  • Coach junior business analysts on the project and advise them on more complex requirements and solutions
  • Assist the BA management team in providing personal and professional development to the BA division and contribute to its practices

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Map out the differences between customer requirements and current core system features
  • Facilitating the negotiation of requirements between the customer and IDIT
  • Lead or participate in customer workshops
  • Understand the gaps in the requirements and the type of solution needed
  • Draft and write deliverables
  • Build solution design based on Sapiens IDIT Core functionality
  • Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications
  • Lead or participate in Solution Design workshops
  • Understanding the customer business processes and procedures and how they translate into IDIT system functionality
  • Write solution design documents (SDS, iSDS, setup books)
  • Provide support throughout the project lifecycle when needed
  • Provide support to the customer
  • Provide support to development, QA, UAT and production


Skills and Experience required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a business analyst
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a general insurance environment
  • Will have demonstrated experience of implementing significant functional change
  • Experience in full project lifecycle having been involved in system implementation or enhancement projects
  • Knowledge of general insurance administration systems
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites (occasional international travel may be required)
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology
  • MS Office / Office 365
  • JIRA
  • Sharepoint
  • Basic SQL would be advantageous
