Job Description:

Chief Software Architect will own the technical roadmap for all new solutions in their product line. S/He will lead the design and delivery of new solutions, including the definition of the architecture, leading the internal and external technological product integrations and integration methodology, and solving technical problems as different apps/components get packaged together. S/He will need to get deeply acquainted with the platforms on which Sapiens' solutions are getting delivered.

Main Responsibilities:

• Own complete solutions across their entire cycle.
• Drive the overall architecture of solution and infrastructure within the team and across the organization, including the design scale-up, DevOps architecture, processes, and methodologies.
• Work closely across teams and disciplines to shape the solutions and make sure they provide value to Sapiens’ customers.
• Work with product strategists, product architects, and product management leaders, and end-users to understand and influence business strategy and support it with a technical platform strategy.
• Drive solution implementation across multiple feature teams.
• Debug and investigate live-site issues to ensure proper availability of our solution.
• Investigate and prototype new technologies, frameworks, security, industry standards and best practices.
• Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and customer-focus within the team.
• Lead by example; develop a high level of technical excellence globally (including but not limited to participating in the design, code, and test reviews).
• Mentor more junior team members professionally.

Requirements: 

Overall: 15 years’ experience.

5+ years’ experience frontend and backend systems architecture, owning complete solutions end to end and driving the overall solution/infrastructure architecture, including but not limiting to:

• Proven track record of engineering large-scale, high availability, and consumer web applications.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases, debug client, and service side applications.
• Strong product design & development experience in an Agile development environment.

  10+ years’ experience hands-on development and design experience in relevant technologies:

• One or more frontend frameworks especially React.js., and HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript / jQuery.
• Deep knowledge of ReactJS + ecosystem, practices, and commonly used modules.
• Deep knowledge in C++ and Java programming
• Experience with enterprise solutions
• Strong knowledge in Distributed architecture and Cloud architecture (Azure: advantage) 
• Ability to setup an architecture E2E solutions with includes Core systems, Digital, Data and Cloud
• Experience with microservices architecture, preferably in cloud environments and backend architecture.
• Knowledge and proven experience in continuous integrations and design of deployment (CI/CD), DevOps tools, and methodologies.

• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks independently and to generate clarity in ambiguous situations.
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring junior professionals.
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 
• Fluent English (verbal and written).

Advantage: knowledge in Pass systems and implantation for insurance carrier
