ETL - Talend Dev Expert

Job Description:

- Talend expert developer with experience with using Talend Admin Center (TAC).

- Owning the Talend based best practices, and developing/maintaining the Talend infrastructure:

          o   Develop and maintain best practices for Source Control, Code Versioning, Build and Deployment procedures.

          o   Robust infrastructure for secure database access, file access and webservices data access.

          o   Creating consistent logging and Job monitoring procedures as infrastructure.

          o   Developing and maintain Job templates.

          o   Creating new Talend components and/or code routines as required.

- Mentor a development team and act as the Talend development lead.

- Able to put Talend to the best use as an ETL and Integration tool.

- Functional and technical support to the different teams providing end to end focal point to Talend based integration.

- Support Integration solution design for both functional and non-functional system requirements.

Skills / Requirements:

- BSc in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience – Must.

- 5+ years proven experience as Talend Lead and using TAC – Must.

- Proven SQL expert knowledge – Must.

- Excellent communications skills in English (fluent) – Must.

- Experience with Data and System Integration patters including file base integration and WebServices – Big advantage.

- Experience working with customers and overseas customers – Big advantage.

- Background in programming and Development (Java) – Big Advantage.

- Experience with other ETL tools and Web base integration – Advantage.

- Good knowledge of the Insurance Business and/or Financial Services – Advantage.

- Ability to understand customer’s requirements and to translate them into functional, data mapping/transformation requirement and interface specifications.

- Ability to translate Functional requirements to test scenarios.

- Ability to understand data models and complex data structures.

- Experience with data mapping and data analysis.
