Global Procurement Director

Job Description:
As a Global Procurement Director, you will lead, manage and develop global procurement activity & execution of key categories. You will be responsible for a team dedicated to sourcing equipment, goods and services and technology, managing global vendors and RFP's while being also hands-on. Our successful candidate will be able to develop strategic procurement activities & prepare forecasts on changes in the market or price.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for cross-organizational procurement activities: technology (cloud, systems, software etc), services (HR, facilities, marketing etc).
  • Develop standards, processes, methodologies and stakeholder relationships to allow the group to be viewed as a center of excellence
  • Develop the procurement strategy and handling the day-to-day functioning of corporate Procurement function, including sourcing, purchasing and vendor management
  • Develop, lead and execute global purchasing strategies, policies and processes
  • Establish corporate standards and increase leverage of company-wide supplier spend
  • Provide leadership and optimization of the function, implementing the best end to end vendor selection and management processes
  • Establish balanced scorecard metrics (cost, quality, service, etc.) that drive accountability for all major categories of spend
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, assess, manage and mitigate risks.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years' experience as a global procurement manager in a global company- must
  • Experience managing employees in Israel and abroad- must
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to coach, develop and drive others to results.
  • Knowledge in all procurement process disciplines including spend category, negotiation, supplier selection, supplier management
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • Well-developed negotiation and communication skills with various audiences globally
  • Ability to think strategically coupled with solid judgement
  • Ability to gather & analyze data from tables and figures and recognize connections
  • Set priorities considering short and long-term needs of the business
  • Readiness for intensive and often under pressure work
  • Familiarity with SAP Business 1– advantage
  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or other relevant degree
  • Fluent in English (ability to negotiate) – must
