About the Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven VP of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) for the Rest of World (ROW) to lead end-to-end deal execution in a fast-paced global tech environment. This individual will be responsible for scouting opportunities, managing due diligence, and driving transactions from inception to closure. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to navigate complex business environments effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scouting & Market Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, industry shifts, and emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor movements and assess potential threats and opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets that align with strategic business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, decision-makers, and industry influencers.
  • Cultivate collaboration and engagement with internal teams and external partners to strengthen deal pipelines.

2. Pre-Due Diligence & Opportunity Assessment:

  • Conduct preliminary financial and strategic assessments of potential acquisitions.
  • Evaluate relevance, synergies, and long-term value creation of target companies.
  • Develop business cases and feasibility studies to support M&A decisions.
  • Lead initial discussions and negotiations with potential targets.
  • Ongoing responsibility for PMI.

3. Full Due Diligence & Valuation:

  • Oversee comprehensive financial, operational, and legal due diligence processes.
  • Build and refine financial models, including valuation and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses.
  • Assess key financial indicators, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  • Partner with internal and external advisors to ensure thorough due diligence execution.

 

4. End-to-End Transaction Management:

  • Manage the entire M&A transaction lifecycle from initial screening to deal closure.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and executive teams to structure and negotiate deals.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations, reports, and transaction analyses to senior leadership and board members.
  • Ensure seamless post-merger integration planning and execution to maximize deal success.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Proven track record (10+ years) in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or related fields, preferably in the tech sector.
  • Strong strategic mindset with deep market insights and business acumen.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex transactions.
  • High verbal ability and strong executive presence to communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Able to promote initiatives and gain buy-in from key decision-makers.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
