Location: Madrid, Spain – Hybrid model (a few days working from the office, a few days working from home).

Main Responsibilities

• Own the local product roadmap plan in coordination with product delivery / functional colleagues. Lead the implementation defined in the plan.
• Act as the technological expert for Sapiens’ solutions and as the market/industry expert locally:
  • Support local pre-sales activities (actively prepare and take part in prospects/clients’ meetings and influence on decisions …)
  • Support local deliveries at clients (troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide solutions to ensure timely resolution).
  • Exchange best practices with the Global Product teams and build the local product technical training plan
• Build and manage the technical product team.
• Collaborate with the Global technical product teams.

Requirements

• 5+Y experience defining product roadmap plans, ideally in the Insurtech industry, in a global and matrix environment.
• 5+Y building and leading technical product teams (direct and matrix environment). 
• Technological requirements
  • Experience and passion for modern web development technologies, methodologies, and techniques – React 16 / Angular (4,5,6), Node.js, Automated Unit Testing, CSS Modules / Styled Components, etc. – A must-have.
  • Strong experience and passion for modern backend Java development, Spring Framework – A must-have.
  • Knowledge in modern architectural methods and patterns such as Microservice Architecture, Cloud Computing and Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) – An advantage.
  • Public cloud experience (Amazon, Azure, Google) – An advantage. 
• Demonstrated experience in agile methodologies and quality. 
• Excellent communication and influencing skills and client-facing abilities.

  • University Bachelor’s Degree or higher education 
• Language requirement
  • Fluent English
