Position summary
An experienced IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer with strong engineering skills to join our rapidly growing IT Infrastructure Managed Services team. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with multiple hosted clients to evaluate and engineer new technologies, architect and design new solutions, and implement new technologies. As part of a larger MGS team, you will have a key role in providing valuable contribution to business and information technology stakeholders and solve business and technical challenges. The candidate for this position will be expected to support customer projects from initiation through completion, collaborating with other Sapiens team members and customer resources to help execute IT strategies, achieve goals and objectives, and improve business and IT operations. The candidate is expected to play a significant role in customer engagements while maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Contribute in infrastructure implementation, Automation, deployment, testing, documenting and maintenance of Client/Server, Web based applications in multi - tiered architecture, Internet/Intranet infrastructure and clustered environments.
- Contribute in design, implementation and configuration of infrastructure technologies including cloud technologies, network services, virtualization technologies, email services and core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File/Print services, Network Policy Services, Private Key Infrastructure, etc.
- Experience writing shell scripts to handle complex automation/administration.
- Experience with server Performance Tuning - Thread Dump Analysis, Core Dump Analysis, etc.
- Experience analyzing activity log files and diagnosing application server problems using Log Analyzer and other tools like Thread Analyzer, GC analyzer and Heap Analyzer.
- Engage in developing technology standards and procedures
- Engage in conducting security assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study and strong academic.
- Must possess 5+ years of hands-on experience in the following:
- Hands on experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting JBOSS, RabbitMQ, Apache, Nginx.
- AWS Cloud Primary- Mid Level/Beginner, Azure (Secondary).
- Java Programming language, Installation, configuration/ Web application deployment.
- EC2, S3, EFS, RDS (Oracle), Storage gateway, VPC, Direct connect, Transit Gateway, ELB, Auto Scaling, ACM, Cloud Front, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, IAM, RDS, AWS Backup
- Highly skilled in deployment, data security and troubleshooting of the applications using AWS Services
- Experience working at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Java. Proficient with git and git workflows.
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS administration with experience and sound knowledge of RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS, troubleshooting, performance tuning and patching.
- Troubleshooting experience with Linux operational deployments
- Strong knowledge of networking and interconnected systems
- Good knowledge on Terraform
- Experience with deployment and automation tools (Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and scripting tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of the following:
- Core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File/Print services, Network Policy Services, Private Key Infrastructure, etc.
- Cloud services such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Virtualized systems such as VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix
- IT network concepts, standards, protocols and strategies
- Email systems such as Microsoft Exchange and online email systems such as Exchange Online, Gmail etc.
