The role
The SVP, Business Development will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be responsible for managing the pipeline related activities of the North American Sales and Customer Success teams, who drive direct sales and growth via new logos and existing customers.
We are looking not only for an innovative thinker, but a detailed oriented executive who has proven they can execute, with excellent leadership, sales and communication skills, and ensure that the North America business development team meets/exceeds target, maximizes profitable growth, and expands market share.
Responsibilities
- Drive the North America sales activities with a specific focus on market and opportunity expansion (“upper pipeline”) and lead generation.
- Establish aggressive sales objectives and equip the team with the processes and strategy needed to achieve those target goals.
- Drive mechanisms and methodologies that use funnel and sales analytics to measure and increase productivity and territory/solution potential.
Qualifications
- Proven sales leadership experience.
- 15+ years of experience in selling multi-million-dollar, complex Solutions (Product and Services) to the insurance market.
- Experience in successfully managing a minimum team quota of $200M Bookings/year.
- Demonstrated experience in large account management and strategic selling techniques.
- Ability to scale revenue, hunt, and close new business in North America.
- 10+ years of experience in leading and motivating business development teams in a complex organization.
- Ability to inspire vision and energy in others.
- Agility to navigate a complex organization, building trust through collaboration and influencing through demonstrated expertise.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
