Role Description:

The Data Migration Lead works as a team member for product implementation and integration projects. This individual operates under supervision projects to ensure implementation success and satisfied clients with Sapiens software products. The Data Migration Lead is responsible for for leading the data migration projects to success; delivery of the agreed scope within the agreed timeline and adequate quality, with full customer satisfaction This position will work closely with the internal project team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the data migration projects to success; delivery of the agreed scope within the agreed timeline and adequate quality, with full customer satisfaction.
  • Data migration of an software package.
  • Project budget and planning management.
  • Management of customer relationships; Provide regular structured updates on all aspects of project governance.
  • Coordinating various subcontractors and client teams contributing to the project.
  • Project risk analysis management and mitigation.
  • Lead the mapping and design sessions with the customer.
  • Support the Business Analysts with the migration mapping and transformation design activities.
  • Responsible for development and QA migration activities.
  • Work closely with the business teams to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements of the business operational teams as well as the technical teams.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years team management experience.
  • At least 3 years of strong, proven experience leading full lifecycle Data Migration projects.
  • Motivated self-starter. Able to act independently with little guidance and lead the team with energy.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing projects in a matrix environment.
  • Experience working with ETL tools (Talend is preferred)
  • Experience in C++ - advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL - expert
  • Excellent English skills
  • Experience in Jira and Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with life / financial services – Advantage
  • Experience working with international customers – must
  • Other languages – Advantage
  • Analytical skills
  • Flexible and willing to travel

Education/Certifications/Training:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education in a related discipline.

 

Physical Conditions/Requirements:

  • Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
  • Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Capable of using a keyboard effectively
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
  • Travel to meetings or outside training may be required
