Job Description
The Regional VP Sales & Business Development, DACH, has the overall responsibility of the region in terms of sales, he/she creates regional sales plans, defines regional quotas in alignment with business objectives, and oversees the daily and long-term sales operations.
Line Management - Senior Vice President: Business Development Operations for EMEA & APAC.
Main Responsibilities
- Expand sales & achieve annual quotas for Sapiens Insurance products offering in the region, with a primary focus on Germany.
- Responsible for the definition, development, and execution of the regional sales strategy, as well as the full sales cycle, from initiation to closure including, but not limited to:
- Accurately assess and qualify opportunities to ensure sales effort and resource are expended effectively;
- Undertake and be accountable for all necessary lead generation activities to drive penetration of target organizations and generate new logo acquisition;
- Draw on resources from business development, marketing and partners as needed to achieve this goal;
- Develop compelling business cases to justify investment in Sapiens solutions;
- Engage and work confidently with Senior Business management and C-level executives, to progress sales opportunities.
- Produce regional monthly forecasts and hereby enable sales management to consolidate accurate projections.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ complex software sales experience within the Insurance industry.
- A passion for penetrating new markets, detecting and leveraging new opportunities, managing sales cycles from initiation up to closure.
- A proven track record of high-value deals ($5m+) end-to-end management is a must.
- A solid business understanding of Short-Term (P&C) and/or L&P, including the technology and platforms available.
- A consultative sales approach.
- The ability to influence and to build trusted relationships at clients all the way up to C-level executives.
- A self-starter and can lead a team for large deal pursuits.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
- Native German and excellent English levels are must-haves; additional languages would be an advantage.
