About the Job:

Join our team to design and develop key components of an advanced, high-performance software system called ALIS. You'll work on scalable, reliable applications, contributing both to R&D and Delivery.

 

Tasks include: 

  • Develop Core Software Components: Design flexible, multi-tier, and extensible solutions that ensure scalability and reliability.
  • SDLC: Be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release, while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Lead & Mentor: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the developer team, helping them grow.
  • Object-Oriented Development: Apply your skills in Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Development to create impactful software components.
  • Requirement Analysis: Analyze requirements, assess feasibility, and estimate effort for projects.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts from different locations to ensure the best solutions are delivered.
  • Best Practices: Help establish and maintain industry-standard software engineering practices and methodologies.
  • Collaborate and Review: Participate in code reviews and collaborate with business analysts and testers to ensure high-quality implementations.
  • Work Methodologies: Follow the company's development methodologies to ensure consistency in project delivery.
  • Occasional Travel: Some travel to client offices may be required.

 

What to Have for this position:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Tech Stack: Experience with Microservices, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Spring, SQL, Maven, Hibernate, and web services (SOAP/REST), and version control tools like Git.
  • Database Knowledge: Hands-on experience with relational databases like MS-SQL and/or Oracle.
  • Object-Oriented Principles: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and development.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid conceptual and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for solving complex issues.
  • Innovation: Proven ability to explore and apply new technologies to build innovative solutions.
  • Self-Sufficient personality: Ability to work independently, while also being a strong team player.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written English skills for collaboration with international teams.

 

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of insurance systems.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum), GraphQL, JSONata, and SOAP APIs
