Position Summary:
The Bid Manager leads and delivers top-quality tender responses. With excellent organizational skills, the ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple bids and writing tasks simultaneously.
Professional Responsibilities:
Our bid managers follow a structured approach to the process including:
- Review RFx documents and understand the requirements and scope
- Manage the response process end to end, including scheduling, assigning roles and responsibilities to stakeholders, following up with internal contributors, putting together top-notch answers, and ensuring timely delivery of responses
- Become self-sufficient in replying to substantial portions of the bid
- Track the progress made by the relevant stakeholders daily to ensure the process is on track at all times
- Manage the review process and draw together all supporting documents, pricing elements
- Ensure the timely submission of bids in adherence to requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position or as a technical/marketing writer looking to make a change
- Independent and quick learner
- High attention to details
- Commercial awareness - ability to understand industry requirements
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment (sometimes under pressure), with the capacity to meet the deadlines of several projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to converse with a range of stakeholders that will have varying levels of input into the content of the bid
