Job Description:
As a DevOps Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in streamlining and automating our DevOps processes. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and manage automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our software development lifecycle. You will work closely with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, secure, and performant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Design & Implementation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to support continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure management.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to manage and provision cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and quality, utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Set up and manage monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance. Analyze and resolve issues related to system performance and availability.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development and operations teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices around DevOps and automation.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that automated processes adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role with a focus on automation.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience in infrastructure implementation, Automation, deployment, documenting and maintenance of Client/Server, Web based applications in multi - tiered architecture, Internet/Intranet infrastructure and clustered environments.
- Experienced with Azure and AWS IaaS/PaaS Configuration and Administration of Cloud Resources.
- Strong understanding of commonly used process/services WAF, Azure PaaS Services viz. SQL PaaS, Azure / Lambda Functions, AKS / EKS, ACR / ECR, API Management etc.
- Experienced with VM Build & Management from VHD, establishes policy and ability to create policy.
- Experience in Security, Compliance, Vulnerability management.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps etc.)
- Implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting in the following infrastructure practices: backup, ASR, firewall management, Load balancing, Application gateway, WAF, etc.
- Knowledge with Azure Key Vault / AWS Secrets Manager and Azure Storage / AWS S3.
- Should have knowledge and work experience in Incident Management + Change Management (Planning and Execution) On-call Escalation.
- In-depth knowledge on Active Directory, disaster recovery and backup solution.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on Windows and Linux operating system.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forest, Domains, Trusts, DNS, Organizational Units.
- Experienced Linux Administrator
- Experience and in-depth knowledge on DFS, FRS and Folder redirection.
- Basic Networking skills related to DNS & domain management.
- Awareness of ITIL Framework.
- Possess good team-management and leadership qualities.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications related to DevOps or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert).
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
