Development Manager-Digital Suite (R&D)

What you’ll do: 

• Managing development teams for multiple projects.
• Own the development best practice and methodology of the different project development teams reporting to him/her
• Work closely across teams and disciplines to shape the solutions and development processes, and make sure they provide value to our customers.
• Work with his/her TLs to define software solutions day to day execution
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Foster a culture of agility, innovation and customer-focus within the team
• Lead by example high level of technical excellence (including but not limited to participating in design, code and test reviews)
• Provide leadership and direction to the Development teams
   

What to Have for this position.

Must have Skills.
 

• BE/MS/MCA or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of development experience in relevant technologies
• Experience in managing teams of 20 or more members
• Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle
• Hands on experience with one or more frontend frameworks such as React, Angular
• Experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript / jQuery, TypeScript, Next.js
• Experience with backend development - Node.js, Nest.js, Express
• Experience with microservices architecture, preferably cloud environments
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodology Ex: CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm etc
• Proven track record of engineering large-scale, high availability, and consumer web applications
• Exceptional software engineering skills across all phases of software development lifecycle
• Ability to understand unfamiliar code bases, debug client and server side applications
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks completely and independently
• Creative, innovative & strong leadership skills
• Passion for mentoring and motivating team members
• Strong product design & development experience in an agile development environment
