DevOps Manager

What you’ll do:
•    Oversee continuous integration, deployment, and optimization activities, ensuring seamless handling of multiple daily deployments.
•    Maintain continuity across various L&P projects with a strong delivery focus.
•    Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative, proactive, and problem-solving culture.
•    Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and development teams to streamline release processes, automate deployment pipelines, and enhance software reliability.
•    Partner with development teams to design new features and solutions, addressing both code and infrastructure levels.
•    Develop and maintain CI/CD procedures and methodologies aligned with industry best practices.
•    Research and integrate emerging technologies into the existing technology stack. 

 

Work Environment:
•    Occasional travel to production sites or vendor locations.
•    Fast-paced environment, requiring occasional after-hours support for critical incident resolution.

 

What to Have for this position:
Must have Skills:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps roles.
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
•    Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps best practices.
•    Experience with incident management tools and monitoring solutions (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk, New Relic).
•    Proficiency in system administration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and database management.
•    Knowledge of programming languages and deployment pipelines, with coding skills in Python, BASH, and PowerShell.
•    Proven experience in:
      o    CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, HELM, Argo CD, Terraform).
      o    Operating systems (Windows, Linux) and Kubernetes.
      o    Web server administration (Apache, Node, Tomcat, WebSphere).
      o    Continuous integration tools (e.g., Hudson/Jenkins).
      o    Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
      o    Build tools (Maven, Ant, Puppet).
      o    Docker environments. 
•    Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
•    Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize under pressure.
•    Experience in multi-cultural communication.
•    Quick learner with an independent and solution-focused mindset.

 

Good to have Skills:
•    Proven experience managing software teams.
•    DBA skills for MSSQL and PostgresDB.
