Title: Sr. Life & Annuities Business Consultant – Presales (Insurance Practice)

Position Overview

Sapiens is seeking a Senior Life & Annuity Insurance Business Consultant to join our Insurance Practice Presales Team. This role serves as a trusted industry expert and solution architect in sales engagements, partnering closely with Sales, Product Strategy, and Delivery to help life and annuity carriers envision, design, and adopt modern, end to end solutions on the Sapiens Life & Annuity platform.

The successful candidate brings deep domain knowledge across the full life and annuity insurance value chain, strong consulting and storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex business and operational needs into compelling, differentiated Sapiens based solutions that support new business growth, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

This is a customer facing, business led presales role, focused on shaping winning sales strategies, solution designs, and executive level narratives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Presales Engagement Support

• Act as a Life & Annuity industry subject matter expert across sales pursuits, discovery workshops, and blueprints.
• Lead and contribute to customer discovery sessions, identifying operational pain points, modernization drivers, and digital transformation goals.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and management summaries with strong business, operational, and industry context.
• Design end to end business solutions leveraging the Sapiens Life & Annuity platform, including policy administration, underwriting, illustrations, digital engagement, data, analytics, and ecosystem integrations with the goal of delivering each customers desired business outcomes.
• Be a key contributor to business oriented solution presentations and demonstrations, tailored for executive, business, and operational audiences.
• Apply strong understanding of current and evolving regulatory, compliance, and operational considerations across North American life and annuity carriers.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Strategy and R&D to provide market feedback, influence roadmap priorities, and help shape future offerings.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance, including roles in business consulting, carrier operations, presales, or insurance technology.
• Deep knowledge of end to end life and annuity operations, including:
  • Product development and illustration
  • New business, underwriting, and policy issuance
  • In force policy administration and servicing
  • Billing, payments, claims, loans, surrenders, and annuity processing
  • Distribution, agents, and advisor workflows

• Strong understanding of carrier operating models, regulatory environments, and market pressures in North America.
• Strong analytical skills to connect business challenges to technology enabled solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating presentations, proposals, and RFP responses.
• Experience working with insurance core platforms, digital engagement solutions, data and analytics, and integration ecosystems.
• Strong conceptual understanding of:
  • Core system modernization and replacement strategies
  • Digital customer and advisor experiences
  • Cloud and SaaS operating models
  • API driven and partner based ecosystems

• Ability to design and articulate solutions using the Sapiens Life & Annuity platform (hands on configuration not required, but functional fluency expected).
• Experience with insurance transformation programs, or carrier modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with RFP driven enterprise sales cycles in the insurance market.
